Adolescents & Young Adults

Inner Circle Therapy supports young people to develop their language and communication skills as well as to explore their relationships with themselves and with others using evidence-based interventions. We believe in authenticity and provide affirming care to support young people and young adults to communicate in a way that represents their individuality. We also support parents (families and carers) to navigate being a caregiver during this life stage.

As well as therapeutic support (intervention) our services include standardised assessment to support diagnostic clarification (for example for people exploring neurodevelopmental differences (e.g. ADHD/Autism).

Social Communication

Social communication is how we use language to connect with others - through conversation, body language, understanding social cues, and knowing what to say (and when to say it). It's about how we build relationships, express emotions, and navigate social situations.

Self-Advocacy

This is about helping young people to develop the language, self-awareness, and communication tools they need to speak up for themselves. It is important for people to be able to express their needs, make informed choices, and participate fully in school, work, and relationships.

Healthy Relationships

Relationships are nuanced.  We have experience working with adolescents and young adults with communication difficulties to work through relationship difficulties.  Healthy relationships is about being able to be open to understanding as well as to be able to assert oneself with clarity and kindness.
